My name is Desak Putu Suliani, though most people know me simply as Putu. In Bali, the name Putu is commonly given to the first-born child, whether female or male, and it carries a beautiful tradition deeply rooted in Balinese culture.
I was born in Suwat Village, Bali, on October 9, 1979. My life began with humble circumstances, and I grew up through many personal challenges. Those experiences shaped my strength, resilience, and determination to continue learning, growing, and creating a better future.
I completed my education with a Diploma III in Nursing, and for several years I worked as a nurse. This healthcare background gave me a deep understanding of the human body, wellness, care, and the importance of healing through both physical and emotional support.

My Journey into Yoga & Wellness
In 2015, after leaving my nursing career, I was introduced to yoga by a friend. At first, I was not very interested. But over time, yoga became a meaningful part of my life — not only as a profession, but as a path of balance, healing, and personal transformation.
As my passion grew, I decided to continue studying and developing my skills. I later trained in massage therapy at a professional training center in Denpasar, Bali. This opened a new chapter in my wellness journey.
On July 1, 2019, I started a small home-based massage business that successfully operated for nearly six years. In February 2026, I decided to close that chapter and focus on more flexible and meaningful work.
Today, I continue working as a freelance yoga tutor at a resort in Tampaksiring, Gianyar, Bali, while also offering private home service yoga and massage sessions for guests who seek a personal wellness experience.
